Why is it not possible to contact Tom Tom?
The worst customer service I've ever come across, especially as the Sat Navs are so unreliable at updating.
Mine is six months old and is not recognised, but I can't get any help.
DO NOT BUY A TOM TOM SAT NAV...EVER!

Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service. Bought a Go Discover. Setup not intuitive so went looking for help. Chatbot was absolutely useless. No email help address, no phone number either. The Go Discover is OK but customer help is non existent.

Worst customer service ever.I updated my fully working sat nav and once updated the screen is so bright you can’t read anything on the screen.I’ve adjusted the brightness and that makes no difference.customer service said that is how it’s meant to be. Funny tho coz when I was updating it I kept seeing the time to upgrade offer of 30% off

TomTom customer service is rubbish
TomTom customer service is rubbish. They pretend to be helpful but in actual fact their standard answer is do a system reset. When you answer them then they don't read your reply and ask you to repeat the same process.
Their camper sat navs have had a fault introduced during recent updates and they WILL NOT accept it. The fault is that the recommended speeds are set for a 7.5 ton HGV and do not adjust to suit your vehicle.
This fault was introduced either because of the trucking map they use or the last operating system update.

Don't buy a Tomtom device ever.
Tomtom software miscategorised my device as obsolete which meant it would no longer get updates, so when I reached out to them with screenshots, serial numbers, and links to their own website showing the device was not, they ignored everything I told them and literally tried to gaslight me into believing they were right rather than looking into the issue. 15+ emails and I threw the thing in the trash.

2nd broken Tomtom this time the premium…
2nd broken Tomtom this time the premium x. Went online several times to book a repair and told by the chat bot try again later. There is no other way of contacting them other than a chatbot.
My advise is do not buy a TomTom they have been incredibly unreliable and I'm now left with a sat nav after only 10months won't load at all. Go Garmin or use your phone!

Not banging the drum for TomTom!
I would like to write, that this is a good customer service focused company.
Other than writing a letter to their DUTCH HQ you cannot get the techinal support you deserve! 'Do not' subscribe to their TomTom Go app, it does not work on post codes outside of your area. Searched for Sherburn in Elmet can't find it. As for dropping your mates off at the quieter Manchester Airport Railway Station it will not find that either by postcode or full desciption! Finally the zeropoint accuracy & intuitive and ease of use that used to be available on their SatNav systems has not been transferred to their mobile app!

Reneged on refund unfairly
I purchased a Go Premium X earlier this year directly from Tomtom. I've had a couple of issues including,of late, the traffic service being unavailable. The original issue was the device malfunctioning after displaying an update notification. As a result of earlier issues with the satnav a return and refund was agreed. I believe I was given incorrect information about the mechanics of a return regarsing returns labels. In any event I never received what I needed to return the sat nav. Tomtom are now insisting I will have to settle for a repair of brand new expensive sat nav. No replacement. No refund.
I have been a Tomtom customer for over ten years. If you are going to buy a Tomtom in my opinion you should buy it from a reputable third party retailer. Do not buy from Tomtom direct. I wouldn't buy a Premium X based on my experience.

I have a TomTom Go6200 - will not connect to PC, they want £100 to solve
I have a TomTom GO6200. It is the last one I will have. While I like the device and the way it works it will not connect to TomTom Home, neither will it update routes created on the PC. I contacted tech support and they said "your computer is out of date, the TomTom services are not running" then said they could fix it for £100. No thanks! I'll go elsewhere - devices should work for all current updated PCs without this runaround. As many people have said, Tomtom used to be the best, they've gone down the same hole as Nokia. @Tomtom - Make the device and its connectivity useable otherwise lose loyal customers.
